Job Summary
Review patient medical history and develop individualized treatment plans for orthopedic upper-extremity conditions. Diagnose patients by observing movements and listening to concerns, then use exercises, stretching, equipment, and manual therapy to manage pain and improve mobility. Record patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed during up to 40 minutes of personalized, one-on-one care. This per diem role offers flexible clinic coverage across multiple locations in Brooklyn and Queens, with an hourly rate of $70. Candidates must be licensed Occupational Therapists with CPR and first aid certification, while Certified Hand Therapist status is strongly preferred. The team provides structured mentorship, industry-leading continuing education, and AI clinical documentation support to reduce after-hours charting.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Occupational Therapist (or ability to obtain in the state of practice)
- Excellent work ethic and dedication to patient success
- Basic computer skills
- CPR and first aid certification
- Experience treating orthopedic upper-extremity conditions across all age groups
- Experience treating orthopedic upper-extremity conditions across all age groups, with a primary focus on adult patients
Desired Qualifications
- Certified Hand Therapist (CHT)
- CHT-eligible (minimum 4,000 hours of hand therapy experience and 3 years of practice), awaiting board examination
- Level II fieldwork in hand therapy, with relevant continuing education, and 1–2 years of outpatient hand therapy experience as a licensed OT
