Job Summary
Develop objective patient goals and establish occupational therapy frequency and duration in collaboration with referring physicians while adhering to state Practice Act laws. Provide comprehensive, individualized treatment programs and document patient care responsibilities timely. Supervise and delegate OT care for each patient within state and federal guidelines. Stay current with evidence-based research and enhance relationships with referral sources and centers. Participate in designing new programs or procedures with manager and physician approval per HIPAA.
Required Qualifications
- Occupational Therapy degree from an American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) -accredited school
- CPR certification
- Valid driver's license
- Level II fieldwork in hands
Desired Qualifications
- Certified Hand Therapist (CHT)
- At least two years of experience in the application of custom splinting pre and post-op orthopedic
- Minimum two years in adult rehabilitation
- Hand and splinting experience
