Job Summary
Conduct evaluations and provide interventions for residents and patients to help them develop, maintain, and recover their ability to perform daily tasks. Develop realistic therapy goals, document evaluation information, and establish therapeutic plans. Provide education to enhance understanding and improve functional outcomes, while demonstrating current research in daily treatment. Supervise assistants, aides, and students as they provide care and treatment inside the department, and interact with providers, case managers, family members, and individuals outside the department. Work primarily outpatient with some inpatient and home health coverage, Monday through Friday from 8:00 to 4:30. Required Qualifications
- Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure
- Must be licensed in the state(s) of practice as Occupational Therapist
- Must also be certified through the National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
- Valid driver's license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers
- Ability to work a 4-10 work week
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- An accepted offer will require a drug screen
- An accepted offer will require pre-employment background screening
