Job Summary
Licensed Occupational Therapist for an outpatient Rockville, MD clinic. Caseload focuses on orthopedic upper extremity and hand patients; responsibilities include fabricating, adjusting, and fitting upper extremity orthoses, proficient CPT/ICD-10 coding, Medicare/third-party billing, and Workers' Compensation knowledge; requires active Maryland OT license, CPR, and OT degree from an accredited program; EMR proficiency and access to MedBridge CEU resources and ongoing education opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited educational program
- Active Maryland State License as an Occupational Therapist required to start the position
- CPR for Healthcare Providers certification required
- Experience fabricating, adjusting, and fitting upper extremity orthoses; caseload focused on orthopedic upper extremity/hand
- Experience and proficiency working with computers and electronic medical records
- Thorough knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding procedures
- Thorough knowledge of Medicare and third-party billing
- Thorough knowledge of Workers' Compensation insurance, including unique features and requirements
