Job Summary
The Occupational Therapist (OT) is responsible for developing and administering occupational therapy programs and treatments for patients in various settings including acute care and skilled nursing facilities. Key responsibilities include conducting initial and discharge evaluations, setting goals and treatment plans, supervising Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs), and educating patients and families on self-management and activities of daily living (ADLs). The role requires compliance with state practice acts and meeting production requirements while maintaining comprehensive documentation of treatments.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy
- Current state license as an Occupational Therapist
- Current certification in Basic Life Support
