Job Summary
Conduct evaluations for residents and patients, developing realistic therapy goals and establishing therapeutic plans. Provide interventions to help individuals develop, maintain, and recover their ability to perform daily tasks. Document evaluation information and deliver education to enhance functional outcomes. Supervise assistants, aides, and students while incorporating current research into daily treatment. Offer ongoing education and training to peers in areas of expertise. Work primarily outpatient with some inpatient and home health coverage, Monday through Friday from 8:00 to 4:30.
Required Qualifications
- Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure.
- Must be licensed in the state(s) of practice as Occupational Therapist.
- Must also be certified through the National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
- Valid driver's license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers required or within the first 60 days of employment.
- Possession of a temporary license (for new graduates in South Dakota, Iowa, and Minnesota in the process of testing with the board).
- Ability to work a 4-10 work week!
- An accepted offer will require a drug screen and pre-employment background screening as a condition of employment.
Desired Qualifications
- Must also be certified through the National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) (when working at a Sanford Health Facility, not required but preferred for GSS Facilities).
- When applicable, may require valid driver's license.
