Job Summary

Evaluate students' level of functioning and plan administrative occupational therapy treatment programs within the school setting. Maintain student records, collect data, and provide OT input to the educational team for developing IEPs while attending meetings with parents. Consult with staff, deliver in-service training, and determine necessary adaptive equipment. Develop daily schedules, complete treatment notes, billing requirements, and progress reports for students, school personnel, physicians, and agencies. Assist children and students with disabilities, ages 3 to 21, in achieving academic outcomes and vocational participation goals.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in occupational therapy from an accredited college or university
  • Licensed to practice in the State of Florida
  • Knowledge of educationally based occupational therapy
  • Knowledge of support services delivery systems and exceptional education services
  • Knowledge of current diagnostic procedures in occupational therapy
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software skills
  • Strong code of ethics and responsibility
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Strong creative problem-solving skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to analyze activities and adapt for students

Desired Qualifications

  • One (1) year of experience in pediatrics
