Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations, testing, and treatment for patients with complex medical and surgical conditions. Educate patients and families on tailored needs while developing and adjusting individualized treatment plans with clear, measurable goals. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, participate in conferences, and assist staff in assessing patients and problems. Serve as a Clinical Instructor for entry-level and long-term students, mentor staff, and support department initiatives like peer reviews and patient care committees. Plan treatment schedules, manage inventory, ensure infection control compliance, and document care details accurately. Requires at least one year of clinical experience, a valid Georgia license, and NBCOT certification.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an Occupational Therapy Program accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association
- At least one year of clinical experience as an occupational therapist
- A valid, unencumbered Occupational Therapist License approved by Georgia Board of Occupational Therapy
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Maintain their certification with NBCOT
- up to 25 lbs.
- Carrying of objects up to 25 lbs.
- Occasional to frequent standing & walking
- Occasional sitting
- Close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing)
- Blood-borne pathogen exposure
- Bio-hazardous waste chemicals/gases/fumes/vapors
- Communicable diseases
- Electrical shock

Desired Qualifications
- LTAC, IRC and/or ICU experience
- Will consider new grads with level II clinicals in these settings
