Job Summary
Occupational Therapist to join Maroondah Community Care Unit (Maroondah CCU) in Ringwood East for a 20-bed mental health rehabilitation unit. Provides discipline-specific assessment and intervention, and case management within a multidisciplinary team, following a recovery-oriented model of care. Applies evidenced-based practice and knowledge of models such as the Model of Human Occupation and Canadian Model of Occupational Participation, with experience in NDIS for psychosocial disability, and collaboration with consumers, carers, and external agencies. Requires OT registration in Australia, 12+ months of experience, a full driver’s license, and adherence to vaccination requirements. Temporary Full-Time backfill for parental leave; vaccination and screening for immunity are mandatory; National Police Check required. Required Qualifications
- Registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia, Australian Health Practitioners Registration Agency (AHPRA)
- A minimum of 12 months’ experience as a registered Occupational Therapist
- Full driver’s license
