Occupational Therapist / Driver Rehab Specialist

Conduct thorough evaluations, consultations, and treatment programs for clients with driving-related conditions, including behind-the-wheel training and adaptive equipment prescription. Design and modify therapeutic interventions for students, low vision clients, and senior drivers within the clinic and training vehicles. Educate patients on diagnoses and community mobility skills while communicating regularly with physicians, case managers, and regulatory entities like the DMV. Maintain accurate daily documentation, manage caseloads, and ensure complete billing practices and insurance authorizations. Uphold patient confidentiality and maintain CDRS status and Vermont state Driver Instructor Certification through required continuing education.
