Job Summary
Evaluate patients and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans based on physician referrals, patient assessments, and clinical best practices. Provide age-appropriate interventions to maximize independence, functional performance, and safety while monitoring progress and modifying plans as needed. Document evaluations, interventions, and discharge plans accurately in accordance with regulatory requirements. Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants and provide clinical instruction to students, new employees, and volunteers. Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and case management to coordinate comprehensive care and participate in quality improvement initiatives. Requires a Virginia-licensed Occupational Therapist with a BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) accredited program
- Licensed Occupational Therapist in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- AHA BLS-certified
- Strong clinical assessment skills

- Strong organization skills
- Strong teamwork skills
- Ability to provide age-appropriate care across the patient population served
- 1 year of clinical experience required for Home Health positions
