Job Summary
Evaluate patients and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans based on physician referrals, assessments, and clinical best practices. Provide age-appropriate interventions to maximize independence, safety, and achievement of established goals while monitoring progress and modifying plans as needed. Document evaluations, interventions, and discharge plans accurately in accordance with regulatory requirements. Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate comprehensive care, and supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants in accordance with licensure regulations. Provide clinical instruction to students, new employees, and support staff. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, peer review, and department projects. Licensed Occupational Therapist in Virginia required; BLS certification mandatory. Sign on bonus up to $20,000 available.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) accredited program
- Licensed Occupational Therapist in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- AHA BLS-certified
