Job Summary
Perform comprehensive Occupational Therapy evaluations using standardized tests to determine patients' needs. Develop and implement treatment plans aligned with physicians' orders and create home exercise programs in partnership with caregivers. Coordinate care between various providers while completing weekly patient visits and meeting deadlines for chart updates, progress summaries, and call logs. Adhere to all agency policies, rules, regulations, and federal, state, and local laws governing home-health pediatric occupational therapy. Maintain understanding of expectations through regular meetings with agency personnel. Requires an active Texas license and flexibility to shift priorities based on business needs.
Required Qualifications
- current/active license to practice Occupational Therapy in the state of Texas
- An innovative spirit complemented by a demonstrated history of reliability
- Flexibility to shift resources and priorities as necessary, based on the needs of the business
- Ability to use common workplace technology (laptop computer, phone, email, web browser)
Desired Qualifications
- 3+ years as a pediatric Occupational Therapist
- Experience in a home-health setting
- Experience or certifications in feeding therapy or other clinical specialties (high-risk infant, etc.)
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
