Job Summary
Evaluate patients' physical, emotional, and developmental capabilities to determine appropriate treatment plans. Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy programs to help patients achieve their goals while providing therapeutic interventions for motor skills, coordination, and daily living activities. Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and speech therapists to ensure comprehensive care, monitor progress, and adjust treatment plans as necessary. Educate patients and families on adaptive techniques and equipment to enhance independence and safety, maintaining accurate patient records throughout the process. This contract role involves a 35-hour day shift with flexible scheduling, offering in-person work with benefits including health insurance, dental, vision, and 401(k).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Valid state license or certification as an Occupational Therapist
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in speech therapy, case management, or working in a hospital setting is preferred
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to occupational therapy
- Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus
