Job Summary
Assess diverse patients across orthopedic, neurological, and sensory conditions; develop treatment plans and conduct evaluations and re-evaluations. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care, including discharge planning and participation in care conferences and rounds. Document thoroughly by completing patient care charting, charge entry, peer reviews, and daily schedule entries. Assign, supervise, and review the care of patients and duties of Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and therapy aides. Provide positive, motivating care to a high volume of patients while encouraging active participation in goal setting and training. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy, current Texas licensure, and BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree - Occupational Therapy
- Current license to practice Occupational Therapy in the state of Texas issued by Executive Council of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Examiners— OT (ECPTOTE)
- BLS certification (through an approved AHA program)
- Registered OT through National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
