Job Summary
Conduct initial evaluations on assigned inpatients within 48 hours of order receipt using standardized functional tools. Develop individualized treatment plans with specific objectives, frequency, and timeframes, then re-assess patient progress bi-weekly to revise plans as needed. Administer treatment modalities and procedures while documenting subjective and objective responses in patient charts. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide motivating care to diverse patients including orthopedic, neurological, and cancer recovery cases. This role supports Mercy Medical Center Redding's comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services across a six-county region.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a school of occupational therapy approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association
- Occupational Therapist: CA
- Basic Life Support - CPR (Must be through the American Heart Association)
Desired Qualifications
- Occupational Therapists providing independent case coverage in Pediatrics will have a minimum of 1 year pediatric experience
