Occupational Therapist

Job Summary

Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations by reviewing medical records, administering standardized assessments, and developing individualized plans of care. Implement and monitor therapeutic treatment plans using evidence-based practices, including mobility training, strengthening, and cognitive rehabilitation. Regularly assess patient progress to adjust goals and interventions, while educating patients and families on safety strategies and discharge planning. Complete accurate documentation of evaluations and progress notes in accordance with clinical and regulatory standards. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and provide guidance to staff and students. Requires graduation from an accredited School of Occupational Therapy with three months of clinical fieldwork and experience in physical disabilities, neurological impairments, and critical care. Basic Life Support certification required upon hire.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited School of Occupational Therapy
  • Completion of Clinical Fieldwork
  • At least three (3) months prior experience in physical disabilities
  • Broad base of medical surgical knowledge
  • Case experience with neurological impairments
  • Case experience with orthopedic impairments
  • Case experience with critical care
  • Two (2) years full-time experience within last five years in injured worker rehab program
  • Caseload emphasis on physical disabilities in injured worker rehab
  • Treatment of subacute injured workers with return to work needs
  • Physical Capacity Evaluation experience
  • Work Conditioning experience
  • Two (2) years full-time experience within last five years in lymphedema OT
  • Caseload emphasis on acute physical disabilities in lymphedema treatment
  • Treatment of lymphedema
  • Minimum of two years of clinical occupational therapy experience in the direct delivery of patient care
  • WA license upon hire
  • Basic Life Support - CPR upon hire

Desired Qualifications

  • Pain management program: Two (2) years full-time experience within last five years
  • Caseload emphasis on physical disabilities in pain management
  • Injured worker care in pain management
