Job Summary
Direct patient care including access and managing rehabilitative needs, performing routine occupational therapy procedures, and scheduling visits per MD orders from admission through discharge. Develop and revise patient plans of care while coordinating services with the Clinical Supervisor, other team members, and support services. Provide patient and caregiver education to foster independence, accurately document skilled interventions in the EMR, and communicate status changes to the MD. Participate in precepting new employees, attending inservices, staff meetings, and continuing education, and demonstrate knowledge of CMS, State, and Joint Commission regulatory guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Occupational Therapy
- Basic Life Support
- BLS - Instructor
- BLS - Provisional
- Occupational Therapist
- Georgia Driver's License
- Private Vehicle insurance
- Minimum 1 year of Full-time Occupational Therapy experience
- Strong critical care assessment and rehabilitative skills
- Positive leadership, problem solving skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Use of window based computer
