Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans to maximize independence in occupational performance areas. Implement advanced occupational therapy treatments, monitor progress, and adjust goals based on periodic assessments. Supervise assigned personnel and staff, providing mentorship, instruction, and oversight to ensure safe and effective performance. Document findings, progress, and patient education for caregivers and medical records accurately. Lead departmental committees, assist with strategic planning, and present educational programs to colleagues and the community. Requires current Texas Occupational Therapy license, Bachelors or graduate degree, and five years of clinical experience. Full-time role at Memorial Hermann in The Woodlands.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors or graduate degree in occupational therapy from an accredited university-based occupational therapy program
- Current License to practice Occupational Therapy by the Texas Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners
- Current Certification in Basic Life Support
- At least five (5) years of clinical experience
- four (4) years of clinical experience, with the completion of an accredited residency or fellowship program
- The position requires occasional/frequent lifting up to 75-100 pounds and carrying of up to 30 pounds
