Job Summary
Deliver specialist occupational therapy assessments and interventions for young people receiving inpatient treatment for eating disorders within our CAMHS service. Support patients to re-engage in meaningful daily activities, develop healthy routines, and build the skills and confidence needed for recovery. Plan and facilitate therapeutic groups and individual sessions focused on emotional wellbeing, independent living skills, sensory regulation, and social participation. Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to contribute to care planning, risk management, discharge planning, and regular MDT reviews. Maintain accurate clinical documentation ensuring all practice is evidence-based and in line with HCPC and RCOT standards.
Required Qualifications
- HCPC registered
- Diploma in Occupational Therapy
- recognised Occupational Therapy qualification
- Bachelor's degree (including honours)
- Postgraduate Certificate
- Postgraduate Diploma
- Master's pre-registration qualification
- previous experience working within CAMHS services
- experience supporting children and young people with eating disorders
- strong understanding of evidence-based occupational therapy interventions
- excellent communication skills
- multidisciplinary working skills
- passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred care within a specialist inpatient setting
