Job Summary
Evaluate, plan, treat, and implement care for patients following American Occupational Therapy Association standards and Essentia Health policies. Deliver therapy evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and execute evidence-based interventions while providing patient and caregiver education and discharge planning. Manage ancillary duties including documentation, billing, scheduling, and supervise support staff. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and physicians to optimize clinical and financial outcomes, flexing to departments where patient need is highest. Complete a 135-hour lymphedema course to serve as a Certified Lymphedema Therapist. This casual, as-needed role covers Wednesday shifts and open shifts at the Miller Hill Health Plaza.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree, or Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy from accredited program
- Current occupational therapy license in the state performing services
- Completion of 135-hour lymphedema course or planned completion of course (pre-approved by Essentia leadership prior to employment)
