Job Summary
Conduct thorough evaluations of muscle tone, range of motion, and functional activities to develop individualized treatment programs for children and adults. Implement therapy techniques, educate families on home programs, and fabricate adaptive equipment or splints as needed. Maintain communication with case managers, physicians, and insurance companies while providing clinical supervision to OTAs. Document evaluation results, progress reports, and Medicaid authorizations; participate in staff meetings and multidisciplinary team staffings. Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and agency safety policies while meeting productivity expectations. Requires current Wisconsin licensure and pediatric experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree from a college or university having an accredited school of occupational therapy
- Currently registered and licensed by the State of Wisconsin or eligible for licensure
- Have current CPR certification or be able to obtain within 3 months
- Physical ability to lift and transfer children (minimum of 25 lbs.)
- Ability to participate in handling and floor activities with children
- Working knowledge and use of assessment tools used in the evaluation of infants and children
- Basic computer experience (Microsoft Office, Excel, Internet)
- Valid Wisconsin driver's license and evidence of automobile insurance
- Successful completion of background check and drug screen
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of a pediatric affiliation/internship or pediatric experience with developmentally delayed children preferred
- Neuro Developmental Treatment (NDT) certification preferred, but not required
