Occupational Therapist (Center for Autism Services, Science and Innovation: Patuxent Woods (Columbia)

Evaluate assigned patients using acquired information about functional skills and roles to prioritize needs and begin treatment planning. Develop evidence-based treatment plans consistent with best practices and execute client-centered, culturally sensitive interventions that progress clients toward long-term goals. Collaborate with patients and families to identify needs, prioritize goals, and provide written guidance to caregivers. Produce thorough, objective documentation adhering to Institute, department, AOTA, and Maryland state guidelines. Actively collaborate in inter- and intra-disciplinary relationships to manage caseloads and supervise affiliated students, COTAs, and volunteers. Maintain up-to-date schedule templates, ensure full scheduling, and offer make-up sessions as needed. Perform set-up and clean-up of treatment supplies while utilizing good fiscal judgment with expendable supplies.
