Job Summary
Conduct diagnostic evaluations and design treatment programs to increase patients' functional levels, utilizing therapeutic exercises to improve strength, range of motion, and fine-motor coordination. Administer sensor-motor integration techniques and visual perceptual-motor remediation while instructing patients in adaptive techniques for self-care skills such as meal preparation and dressing. Fabricate splints and adaptive equipment per medical prescriptions to support environmental design and patient positioning. Maintain accurate patient records and reports in accordance with departmental standards. Participate in home assessments and train patients on upper-extremity prosthetic devices to resume daily routines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy
- Current Colorado Occupational Therapist License in good standing with DORA
Desired Qualifications
- One year of experience preferred
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills
- Strong customer service orientation
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Ability to use tools used to make adaptive equipment
