Job Summary
Provide Occupational Therapy evaluation, treatment, and consultation to pediatric patients ages birth to 21 in acute care, inpatient rehab, and outpatient settings. Demonstrate competency in pediatric OT per department clinical competencies while maintaining knowledge of insurance referral and authorization processes. Complete timely documentation adhering to departmental policy, The Joint Commission, and CARF standards. Collaborate with other departments as an interdisciplinary team member and participate in peer review, staff development, and mentoring of students and new staff. Stay current with field trends through continuing education and professional learning opportunities. Requires Florida State License, BLS certification, and availability for weekend shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum of three (3) months experience
- Florida State License to practice Occupational Therapy
- American Heart Association BLS Certification
- Must be available for weekend shifts
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to cover in all settings
- Member of professional specialty organizations (AOTA, FOTA)
- Prior pediatrics experience
