Occupational Therapist

Review and evaluate physician referrals and medical records to determine required occupational therapy treatment. Plan and prepare written treatment programs based on patient data, then conduct on-the-job training for new employees while adapting materials to immediate needs. Confer with physicians and other health practitioners to suggest revisions, integrate therapy with broader care, and coordinate with the rehabilitation team to select programs consistent with patient capabilities. Perform functional assessments including range of motion, manual muscle tests, and neuromuscular control to upgrade patients to maximum independence. Assist in recruitment, develop department policies, participate in budget planning, and maintain documentation for third-party reimbursement. Adhere to infection control precautions and perform miscellaneous assignments as required.
