Job Summary
Conduct occupational therapy for infants and toddlers to promote fine motor, oral motor, and feeding skills while integrating family involvement into daily routines. Deliver initial services within 28 days of the IFSP date and complete assessments to determine client eligibility. Provide adaptive equipment, refer clients to specialists, and develop Individualized Family Service Plans within 45 days of referral. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current research and statistics in the field. Provide ongoing IFSP monitoring at least once every six months and complete written reports and daily paperwork within 48 hours of completion. Deliver at least 85% of planned direct services and meet agency deadlines. Attend program meetings as requested.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Occupational Therapist in the state of Texas
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
- Must have reliable transportation to travel within the assigned region
- If driving own vehicle, must have valid driver's license
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to work more than 8 hours per day
- Flexible, able to work well under pressure and handle crisis situations
- Ability to sit, stand, kneel as necessary to fulfill daily duties assigned
- Ability to communicate effectively/clearly
