Job Summary

Evaluate residents' functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans to help them regain daily living and work skills. Provide direct occupational therapy services including therapeutic exercises, ADL training, and adaptive equipment recommendations. Document all evaluations, treatments, and resident progress while collaborating with nursing, physical therapy, and speech therapy teams to ensure coordinated care. Educate families and caregivers on independence techniques and participate in care plan meetings and discharge planning. Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations and supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants as required. Evening shift and weekend availability; current Rhode Island licensure and geriatric experience preferred.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Current Rhode Island licensure (or eligibility) as an Occupational Therapist

Desired Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a skilled nursing facility or geriatric setting
