Job Summary
Provide resident-focused occupational therapy to restore or maximize independence for residents in a care facility setting. Duties include evaluating and treating residents, documenting services in the medical record, and collaborating with families, physicians, and an interdisciplinary team to deliver care. Requires knowledge of physical modalities and use of prosthetic/orthotic and assistive devices, strong communication skills, and ability to work with diverse staff, residents, and families. Requires OT licensure in Michigan; two to three years of experience in a skilled nursing facility rehab environment preferred. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university.
