Job Summary
Provide direct and indirect occupational therapy services in accordance with students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and Section 504 plans. Conduct comprehensive assessments of fine motor, visual-motor, sensory processing, and functional skills for students referred for special education. Participate in IEP and Section 504 processes, including eligibility determinations, annual reviews, and service planning. Develop, implement, and adjust evidence-based interventions aligned to student goals while collaborating with the multidisciplinary special education team. Consult with teachers, administrators, and parents on skill development and integrate OT strategies into daily routines. Recommend adaptive equipment and accommodations, maintain accurate caseloads and documentation, and engage in ongoing professional development. Work 16 hours per week in Durham, NC.
Required Qualifications
- Valid state Occupational Therapy licensure
- North Carolina: Occupational Therapist License issued by the North Carolina Board of Occupational Therapy
Desired Qualifications
- School-based or pediatric occupational therapy experience
- Experience working with diverse or at-risk student populations
- Familiarity with IEPs, Section 504 plans, and special education compliance requirements
- Strong collaboration, organization, and communication skills
