Job Summary
The Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA/COTA) provides skilled occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist in Skilled Nursing, Long-Term Care, and Home Health settings. Implements treatment plans to improve independence, safety, and functional performance; delivers interventions focusing on ADLs, fine motor skills, coordination, strength, and functional mobility; observes and reports patient responses and progress; educates patients and caregivers on therapeutic activities and safety techniques; uses adaptive equipment; completes accurate EMR documentation; maintains a safe, organized treatment environment; collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to support coordinated patient care; and complies with HIPAA and facility regulations. Flexible part-time schedule with opportunities to work across multiple care settings and meaningful impact on patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Current Occupational Therapist Assistant license in good standing (state-specific)
- Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or home health preferred (new graduates welcome to apply)
- Strong clinical, communication, and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
