Job Summary
Occupational Therapy Assistant role at Vertis Therapy in a beautiful Assisted Living community with Memory Care in Kansas City, KS. Provide OT treatments under supervision, assist with tests and evaluations, maintain treatments records, collaborate with family and health professionals, support department operations, participate in staff meetings, and pursue ongoing professional development within a 1:1 patient care model with flexible Full-Time, Part-Time, or Consistent PRN options; focus on older adults with memory care needs and cognitive deficits, enhancing residents’ independence and quality of life.
Required Qualifications
- Associate of Science degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant.
- Current license or eligible for license under statutes in the state of practice.
- Prefer minimum one (1) year rehabilitation experience in setting serving the same age/type of patient population served by this facility.
- Prefer active membership in the state and national American Occupational Therapy Association.
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Adequate computer skills in order to complete required job duties and computerized documentation.
- Ability to understand and follow the directions of the Occupational Therapist and the policies and procedures of Vertis Therapy.
