Job Summary
Conduct one-on-one therapy with patients in their homes to empower them to live safely and productively by helping them adapt their environments, modify tasks, and use equipment for daily activities. Assist patients and families in improving participation in daily activities and enhancing quality of life through direct support where needed most. Maintain current state certification as an Occupational Therapist Assistant, hold a valid driver's license, and possess one year of acute care experience. Work within a home health continuum of integrated services that manages advanced illnesses in partnership with health systems and long-term care partners.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of occupational therapy assistant with an Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Current State Certification as an Occupational Therapist Assistant
- Valid Driver's License
- Current CPR, negative TB screen and Hepatitis consent/declination
- One year experience as an Occupational Therapist Assistant in an acute care setting
- Knowledge and Skills: Therapy skills as set forth in the Therapy Practice Act and other regulatory agencies
- Good interpersonal skills
