Job Summary
Occupational Therapist role within Aspen's Home Health team targeting patients in Carrollton, Little Elm, Irving, Coppell, Grapevine, Denton, Lewisville, Argyle and surrounding areas in Texas. Responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, providing skilled therapy services (including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, adaptive equipment training, and environmental modifications), and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to optimize patient independence in activities of daily living. Must maintain clinical documentation, educate patients and families, participate in team meetings, adhere to AOTA and state licensure standards, and demonstrate strong communication, empathy, and professionalism. Licensure in Texas and a master’s or bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy are required; EMR proficiency and ongoing professional development are emphasized.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Valid license to practice Occupational Therapy in the state of Texas
- Strong clinical skills in assessment, treatment planning, and intervention implementation
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
- Empathy, compassion, and a genuine desire to help others achieve their highest level of independence and well-being
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment
- Proficiency in utilizing electronic medical records (EMR) systems for documentation purposes
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with advances in the field of Occupational Therapy
