Job Summary
Examine and evaluate patients, developing effective treatment plans appropriate for their condition. Measure patient progress, modify treatment plans, and educate patients to produce optimal outcomes. Apply knowledge of Occupational Therapy theory, procedures, practices, and equipment while assessing and implementing treatment programs for simple and complex diagnoses. Maintain thorough knowledge of hazards, precautions, and remedial measures during patient care. Requires a current Florida Occupational Therapy license, BLS certification, and less than one year of clinical experience. Master's degree preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of Occupational Therapy theory, procedures, practices and equipment
- Good communication skills
- Proactive, positive approach to problem solving
- Thorough knowledge of possible hazards/necessary precautions/remedial measures in the treatment and care of patients
- Ability to assess and implement a treatment programs for simple and complex therapy diagnoses
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office suite
- Current Florida Occupational Therapy license
Desired Qualifications
- Occupational Therapy preferred
- Experience in hospital-based rehabilitation services
- Splinting/orthotic fabrication
- Less than one year clinical experience in area of job opening (e.g. acute, outpatient, etc.)
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
