Job Summary
Create tailored intervention plans to help patients develop, regain, or maintain skills for daily living and leisure activities. Facilitate participation in meaningful activities through creative problem-solving and teaching new task performance methods. Provide education and training to patients, families, and caregivers regarding conditions, treatment strategies, safety precautions, and adaptive equipment usage. Deliver top-of-scope direct patient care procedures and model proficiency by precepting new staff members. Contribute to secure safety and quality at the point of care within a multidisciplinary team approach. This onsite acute care rehabilitation role at UCHealth Memorial Hosp Central in Colorado Springs requires a full-time commitment of 80 hours per pay period with a day shift. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy
- Current licensure with Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies to practice Occupational Therapy
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
