Job Summary
Provide evidence-based occupational therapy to adults in an acute care hospital setting. Responsibilities include performing comprehensive evaluations, identifying functional deficits, and developing individualized treatment plans to improve patients’ safety, independence, and quality of life in activities of daily living, mobility, cognition, and self-care. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support discharge planning and make recommendations for equipment and continued therapy needs. Educate patients and families on safe functional techniques, energy conservation, compensatory strategies, and home exercise programs, and document assessments, goals, interventions, and progress in the electronic medical record. Participate in quality/process-improvement initiatives and pursue professional development through mentorship and collaboration across neurology, orthopedics, cardiopulmonary, oncology, and critical care. Required Qualifications
- Licensed Occupational Therapist in Colorado (OTR) or eligible
- OT licensure
- clinical experience in acute care settings preferred
