Job Summary
Create tailored intervention plans to help patients develop, regain, or maintain skills for daily living and leisure activities. Facilitate participation in meaningful tasks by teaching new ways to perform activities and promoting independence. Provide education and training to patients, families, and caregivers regarding conditions, treatment strategies, safety precautions, and adaptive equipment use. Deliver top-of-scope direct patient care procedures while modeling proficiency through precepting new staff. Contribute to secure safety and quality at the point of care within a multidisciplinary team. Work full-time days shifts at UCHealth Memorial Hosp Central, Colorado Springs, with a 68-hour pay period.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy
- Current licensure with Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies to practice Occupational Therapy
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
