Job Summary
Organize and conduct medically prescribed programs to achieve maximum patient potential while practicing within the scope of the State Practice Act and all governing body regulations. Assist in special departmental projects and coordinate activities within patient care programs. Respond to emergency situations and work with patients facing complex medical challenges to help them regain function, independence, and dignity during critical recovery stages. Provide 24 hours/week of acute care coverage during the day shift at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Current Occupational Therapy license or eligibility within the hiring state
- Current BLS through the American Heart Association
- Must be able to respond to emergency situations
Desired Qualifications
- Prefer Hand Therapy Experience
- National Board Certification in Occupational Therapy
