Job Summary
Assesses patients and develops/implements comprehensive OT treatment plans to maximize independence in occupational performance. Provides direct patient care, documents progress, may supervise assistants and rehab technicians, serves as clinical instructor for OT/OTA interns, and participates in education, program development, and quality/safety standards. Work schedule Mon-Fri with potential weekend as needed; located in Pasadena, TX.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university-based Occupational Therapy program
- Current or temporary License to practice Occupational Therapy by the Texas Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners
- Current certification in Basic Life Support
- Ability to lift 75-100 pounds, carry up to 30 pounds; prolonged standing; frequent walking, stooping and squatting
- Mentorship/teaching ability to supervise students, interns, and staff as needed
- Strong communication skills (oral and written) with patients, caregivers, physicians, and insurers
