Job Summary
The Occupational Therapist (OT) is responsible for assessing rehabilitation needs, conducting planned therapeutic programs, and supervising activities to enhance patients' physical functions and independence in daily living. The OT collaborates with professionals, guides patients in therapeutic activities, and participates in patient care conferences. Key responsibilities include conducting assessments, planning individualized therapy, and documenting patient progress. Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy, a current Texas license, and preferably have two years of relevant experience.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a curriculum in Occupational Therapy accredited by the committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association
- Current licensed by the state of Texas to practice as an Occupational Therapist
Desired Qualifications
- Two years appropriate experience as an Occupational Therapist
- Two-year experience as an Occupational Therapist in home health preferred
