Job Summary
OT role focused on one-on-one patient progress within a national post-acute care leader’s rehabilitation hospital in Abilene, TX. Responsibilities include providing occupational therapy treatment per regulations and guidelines, supervising assistants/technicians, maintaining cross-department communication, and delivering care to patients recovering from stroke, spinal injuries, neurological disorders, joint replacements, and other conditions. Requires current state licensure or certification and strong communication skills; CPR certification preferred. Required Qualifications
- Current state licensure or certification required for Occupational Therapy
- CPR certification preferred
- Successful completion of an accredited therapy program or substantially equivalent program (preferred)
- Effective communication skills with patients, families, and caregivers
- Demonstrated competency in occupational therapy evaluation, assessment, care planning and treatment
