Job Summary
Occupational Therapist in a Klamath Falls, Oregon school district providing evaluations, direct and consultative therapy, IEP development, staff training, and Medicaid billing documentation to support student participation and educational progress. Responsibilities include conducting OT evaluations/re-evaluations, interpreting assessment results, developing OT goals and service recommendations, participating in eligibility/IEP meetings, maintaining compliant IEP documentation, delivering direct and consultative OT services, creating therapy routines and accommodations for educational settings, training staff, monitoring progress, and completing Medicaid/service logs in accordance with IDEA, Section 504, Medicaid, and state regulations. Minimum qualifications include an OT license in Oregon (or ability to obtain) with preferred experience in school settings and Medicaid billing; it requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and capability to support students with disabilities within the district context. Required Qualifications
- Current Occupational Therapist license in the State of Oregon (or ability to obtain)
- Experience working in school settings preferred
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities
- Knowledge of special education processes, IEP development, and educational eligibility criteria
- Understanding of sensory processing, fine motor development, adaptive skills, and school-based interventions
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Strong written communication and organizational skills
- Experience with Medicaid billing procedures preferred
