Job Summary
Occupational Technician or Medical Assistant responsible for occupational health testing and patient care in a Midland clinic. Duties include conducting urine drug screens, breath alcohol testing, hair collections, and other screenings; registering patients and maintaining EMR documentation; assisting providers; performing respiratory fit testing, pulmonary function testing, and audiometry; handling paperwork and chains of custody forms; collecting blood specimens and preparing samples for lab testing; supporting front desk operations; maintaining clinic cleanliness and inventory; preparing specimens for shipment; and participating in onsite and field testing activities.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Completion of Medical Assistant program preferred
- Experience in medical office/occupational health setting preferred
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain prior to start date)
- Strong computer skills and EMR familiarity
- Ability to perform observed collections in accordance with DOT and client requirements
