Occupational Safety and Care Coordinator

Job Summary

Coordinate care for injured workers by accompanying them to medical appointments, navigating treatment options, and managing the claims process from first report through recovery. Establish and maintain project physician panels by building relationships with partner clinics and onsite medical services. Lead incident investigations by compiling documentation, owning report submittals, and tracking data to identify risk patterns. Serve as an on-the-ground resource for workers and management on safety policies and support options. Maintain professional communication with leadership on claim status. Requires 2–4 years of construction safety experience, OSHA 1904 Subpart C knowledge, and the ability to travel within a three-hour radius. Full-time, in-person role in Richmond, VA.

Required Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of construction safety experience, including onsite claims handling
  • Familiarity with OSHA 29 CFR 1904 Subpart C — Recordkeeping Forms and Recording Criteria
  • Excellent people skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences — injured workers, subcontractor supervisors, clinic staff, and executives
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to build collaborative relationships with internal teams and external partners
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and case management technologies
  • Able and willing to travel regularly to project sites within approximately a three-hour radius
  • Substance abuse testing and a background screening

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered
