Occupational Medicine Technician, Full-time Days

Job Summary
Collect vital signs, blood glucose, and urine specimens while documenting patient weight and lab results in compliance with Chain of Custody procedures. Assist physicians and nurses with injury care, drug screenings, pulmonary function tests, respirator fit tests, and audiograms. Perform clerical functions, stock laboratory carts, manage supply inventory, and maintain facility cleanliness and equipment decontamination. Welcome patients via phone or in person, protect protected health information, and participate in quality assurance and staff meetings. Work full-time days from 9AM to 5PM under the direction of a physician, RN, and LPN within Premier ER & Urgent Care facilities.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Certified as a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) by American Medical Technologists (AMT)
- Certified as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
- BLS
- A minimum of 2 years of occupational health experience
- Must possess knowledge and understanding of daily assignments, unit activities, proficiency in medical terminology, and basic computer skills
- Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication
- Must be flexible in changing assignments, workload, and learning new skills
- Ability to work with and around potentially hazardous materials and diseases
- Ability to work extended hours
