Occupational Medicine Physician

Job Summary
Board-certified or board-eligible Occupational Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Family Medicine physician sought to support and oversee on-site NP staff, conduct on-site and telemedicine patient care, participate in ergonomic reviews, mentor site staff, and ensure regulatory and quality standards. The role emphasizes independent clinical judgment, collaboration with employees and clients, and strong communication. Experience with DOT/medical surveillance, OSHA regulations, and on-site clinic management is preferred. Remote work is available; primary duties include overseeing on-site clinics and coordinating care across multiple sites as described.
Required Qualifications
- Board-certified or board-eligible Physician in Occupational Medicine, Emergency Medicine, and/or Family Medicine
- Minimum five years OM/EM/FM experience
- Valid NC MD license to practice medicine in good standing, multi-state license to assist with other clinics
- DEA license in good standing
- Current BLS (CPR/AED) or ACLS certification
- Experience performing DOT/medical surveillance exams, fitness for duty evaluations, and ergonomic experience preferred
- Understanding of OSHA regulations
- Ability to evaluate and treat on-site and via telemedicine
- Mentor staff and provide monthly education to site staff of health care providers (NP/PA, RNs, MAs)
- Proficient in electronic medical records and Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to complete all necessary reports promptly
