Occupational Health Supervisor

Job Summary
Oversee the health services department, workers' compensation, and staff to ensure all standardized processes are followed and regulatory compliance is maintained. Manage the workers' compensation clerk and three first aid technicians, ensuring appropriate documentation and that only work-related concerns are treated. Administer emergency treatment when necessary and manage claims while keeping both the employee and company's best interests in mind. Lead the company's drug and alcohol program, work with EHS and HR on health education and wellness activities, and present updates to middle and upper management. Engage throughout the plant to build positive relationships with managers and hold team members accountable for time management.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of an associate's degree
- Bachelor's degree in nursing, occupational health, healthcare administration, or public health
- Must be bi-lingual in English and Spanish
- Five years with occupational, publish or health care required
- Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and health principles
- Experience with workers' compensation and claim management
- Experience in developing or working with employee wellness programs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent listening and problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain high standards of confidentiality
- Must be highly organized and high attention to detail
- Ability to climb stairs frequently
- Must be able to carry up to 100 pounds (emergency medical equipment)
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl
- Must be able to lift, push, pull up to 100 pounds (in case of emergency)
- Must be able to wear all required PPE
- Must be able to enter all facilities of the processing plant and work in cold / hot environments

- Ergonomics experience preferred
