Job Summary
Develop and manage safety programs from conception through implementation, providing expert consultation on hazard controls, training, and compliance with local, state, federal, and company standards. Conduct incident investigations, risk assessments, audits, walkthroughs, and inspections while performing Industrial Hygiene monitoring for a high-technology customer. Serve as a brand ambassador for SGS values within a team of safety professionals, balancing multiple stakeholder needs in a high-pressure, high-growth environment. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety or related field, minimum 8 years of experience, and proficiency in safety program creation. Salary range is $101,200 - $131,500, with benefits including 401K, 15 vacation days, and 7 company holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Safety Management, Industrial Hygiene, or related field
- Minimum 8 years of experience in the Occupational Health & Safety field
- Occupational Health & Safety industry experience
- High technology industry or R&D experience
- Safety program creation and implementation
- Ability to work effectively in high pressure, high volume, high growth environment
- Excellent presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Professional credibility, preferable through an understanding of the environmental, industrial hygiene, and/or high technology industries
- Strong cross-team/ group/ org collaboration skills
- Ability to foresee and analyze project risks, develop risk management plan and mitigate subsequent issues
Desired Qualifications
- Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or ability to obtain
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or ability to obtain
- Experience in consulting
- Experience in laser and drone safety
