Job Summary
Site Health & Safety leadership role overseeing the Bothwell site; leads HSE program implementation, audits, incident investigations, and training. Collaborates with Operations and Supply Chain to drive safety awareness, manages compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations, and maintains the HSE management system. Responsibilities include supporting Joint Health and Safety Committee, returning-to-work programs, training sessions (e.g., forklift, orientations), and reporting on accidents with analysis to drive continuous improvement. Requires a university degree in Health & Safety, 4 years of relevant experience, strong communication, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- Health & Safety University Degree
- 4 years of experience as Health, Safety and Environment Specialist or equivalent
- Solid working knowledge of health, safety & environmental regulations and related principles and practices
- Experience conducting adult training considered an asset
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Detail oriented with excellent organization skills
- Ability to establish priorities and meet firm deadlines
- Certified Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) preferred
